Classes and Events

Saturday mornings in Massapequa. Small group classes rooted in the Ashtanga tradition: structured, supportive, and open to all levels.

Every month rotates through different aspects of the practice so there's always something to explore, whether you're brand new or have been practicing for years. No experience with Ashtanga required, just show up with an open mind.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • 50 Brooklyn Ave. Massapequa in a community space called Retreat Space. This is where I rent out space for my private business and group classes. The entrance is on the side of the building and it is across the street from the side of the fire house. You can park in the back lot, on the side of the building and depending on the time - the train station parking lot. Just make sure to check signs around you. Then come up the stairs and I will be there waiting!

  • None. It’s more about an open mind, and the willingness to give it a shot and learn. If you’re feeling really uncomfortable, unsure, or have specific conditions or injuries I do offer 1:1 support through a 4 week private beginner series.

  • No! Most people stay about 1 to 1.5 hours, but I will be there the full 2 hours to support students. This is a flexible class where you can start anytime between 10-11, but don’t need to stay the entire time slot. After you move through your practice you choose how long your savasana is, and then you’re welcome to take some extra time to meditate if you have the time. It’s a peaceful environment.

  • Not a problem. I am there to support you, and I also have handouts that you can borrow for the duration of class. Overtime with consistent practice you will start to memorize it to cultivate a moving meditation and to also practice at home.

  • Life happens. Please try to reschedule at least 24 hours in advance so your spot can open up for someone else. I will rebook you for the following week. No-shows are not refunded.

  • Just yourself, comfortable clothes you can move in, your mat, and a water bottle. Blocks, straps, blankets, and bolsters are available, and mats for rent.

  • It can be tricky when something that can help anxiety actually causes anxiety to get started! These classes are specifically designed to be inclusive, low pressure, and adaptive. There's no performance here. You move at your own pace in a small, supportive group. If you'd feel more comfortable starting one on one first, private sessions are always an option to get started.
